Terms and Conditions of Lunam Studio
Appointments
All fittings are by appointment only. You are expected to either keep to the appointed time or inform me of any delays or cancellations. You might not be seen the same day in case of late appearance as we very often hold several appointments in a row.
Fitting Fees
Lunam Studio offers a free fitting and pinning service in house. We do not accept responsibility for errors where pinning or measuring has been undertaken by a third party.
For home visits a minimum call out charge of £15 applies plus £5 per mile over 5 miles radius from Canterbury.
Estimates and Pricing
Please view Lunam Studio’s guidance price list at https://lunam-studio.co.uk/prices/This price list is only an estimate for standard alterations. All final prices will be given at the moment of order confirmation.
For complex orders you may be given an estimate based on the number of hours required to complete the order. In the event that more time is required to carry out work we will inform customers prior to carrying out any work.
In case you are not satisfied with quoted price please discuss it prior to any work being started. At Lunam Studio we do not negotiate on quoted prices retrospectively.
Right to Cancel
You may cancel your order for any reason up to the point of the work being carried out.
Deposits and Payment
Full payment is required at or prior to collection. In some cases full payment or a 50% deposit is required prior to commencement of any alteration or construction of a garment.
We accept payment by credit/debit card or in cash. We currently accept Visa and Mastercard. All transactions are shown in pounds sterling (£). We do not charge VAT.
Completion of Work
Alterations are normally completed within five to ten working days unless otherwise stated. You will receive a text message when your order is completed and ready for collection.
Bridal alterations and made to measure orders’ completion times are subject to discussion prior the appointment as we try and place it around your needed dates.
Urgent orders may be a subject to an additional 10% charge. Please ask about express orders prior to appointment.
Uncollected Items & Disposal
Please note any uncollected items may be given to charity if not collected within 90 calendar days from original collection date. Items can be stored for longer than 90 calendar days, but storage must be agreed in advance and you may be charged for it.
Insurance and Liability for Clothes
Lunam Studio will take the greatest possible care of your clothes but all garments left with us are entirely at the owner’s risk.
Work Specification and Defects
For each garment a detailed instruction will be prepared and agreed with you. A copy of this instruction will be given to you at the fitting.
We advise that all garments are examined and tried on at the time of collection.
If you are not completely satisfied with our work you must notify us at the time of collection.
In case of the alterations not being carried out in accordance with The Instructions agreed at the time of confirming the order, we will rectify the work at our expense. If all work has been done following agreed Instructions further required alterations will be charged according.
5. Claims

5.5 Where we are clearly at fault and a repair and/or alteration is no longer possible we will provide credit or cash compensation up to a maximum value of £500.
6. Right to Refuse
We reserve the right to refuse service to any customer for reasons including but not limited to circumstances of actual or implied physical or verbal abuse towards our business or our employees.
7. Statutory Rights
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes to Terms & Conditions
